Inspection Technician | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Portage that are seeking Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback on new product runs.
• Adhere to established quality control procedures and safety guidelines.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Strong understanding of measurement tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
• Ability to perform visual inspections with strong attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 certification
• Experience with various metrology tools (CMM, optical comparators, etc.)
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems for data entry and retrieval
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
