Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kalamazoo seeking experienced Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and disposition recommendations.
- Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for rejected materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams for resolution.
- Verify Certificate of Conformance (CoC) and other required documentation from suppliers to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring material non-conformances and support continuous improvement initiatives within incoming inspection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T experience a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with Non-Conforming Material (NCM) processes and basic root cause analysis.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with quality management software or ERP systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Certification in quality inspection (e.g., ASQ CQT)
