Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking Packaging Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Optimize packaging processes for cost efficiency, sustainability, and damage reduction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing to define packaging requirements.
• Conduct material selection and qualification for various packaging components.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, test methods, and quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot packaging-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new materials, and regulatory requirements related to packaging.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging validation, testing, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to optimize packaging for cost-efficiency, sustainability, and damage reduction

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
• Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional teams
