Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging with manufacturing processes.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials and processes.
• Ensure packaging complies with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging-related issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new packaging technologies and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in packaging engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging test methods and industry standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design.
• Familiarity with sustainability principles and circular economy concepts in packaging.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging in specific industries (e.g., food, pharma, medical devices).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis for process control and quality improvement.
• Experience with automated packaging lines and robotics.
