HR Generalist | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Process payroll and benefits administration, addressing employee inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports on key HR metrics for management review.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HR training programs for employees and supervisors.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, OSHA).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
  • Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
  • Experience with an HRIS implementation or upgrade
  • Strong data analytics skills and experience with HR metrics
