HR Generalist | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs and act as a point of contact for related inquiries.
• Manage the recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and company policies, maintaining accurate HR records.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
• Assist with HR program development and implementation, such as training, compensation, and safety initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
