General Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $130,000 - $181,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking General Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets and business objectives.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
• Lead and mentor a team of department managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Drive process optimization and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with sales, R&D, and supply chain to ensure seamless product delivery and innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated success in P&L management and driving financial performance
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
• Experience with implementing or managing an ERP system
• Formal training in project management (e.g., PMP certification)
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish or a locally relevant language
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing environment
