Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Field Service Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all field service operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or troubleshooting of industrial machinery.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Certified in specific equipment or machinery relevant to the manufacturing sector (e.g., robotics, specialized CNC).
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management and reporting.
• Advanced networking skills for troubleshooting connected industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
