Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborates with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for quoting.
• Solicits and evaluates quotes from external suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Presents estimates and proposals to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Maintains and updates a database of cost information for various products and processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Certification in estimating (e.g., ASPE Certified Professional Estimator)
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and data modeling
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for part analysis
