Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Hudsonville that are seeking Materials Managers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Implement and maintain robust material tracking systems to ensure accurate inventory records and traceability.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes and systems.
  • Forecast material requirements based on production plans and sales forecasts.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and production planning
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to materials flow
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of materials professionals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with global supply chain management.
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
