Incoming Inspection Technician | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating the non-conformance process.
• Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with quality engineers and production teams to resolve material discrepancies.
• Adhere to established quality control procedures and company standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schews, and technical documents
• Experience with various metrology tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and interpretation.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MES systems for data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
