Salary Range: $81,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Traverse City seeking IATF Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IATF 16949 compliant quality management system documentation.
• Lead and support internal and external IATF 16949 audits.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances, utilizing problem-solving methodologies like 8D.
• Facilitate APQP activities, including PPAP submissions and control plan development.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for continuous improvement.
• Provide training and guidance on IATF 16949 requirements and quality tools to manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) and quality problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) beyond basic application.
• Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949 or other relevant quality management systems.
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for advanced data analysis and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and their application in quality assurance.
• Experience in developing and implementing quality strategies for new product launches or technology integrations.
