Salary Range: $63,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Portage region seeking Finishing Supervisors. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in finishing products.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
• Train new employees on finishing techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Schedule and assign work to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and employee performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to finishing processes and equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and company policies within the finishing department.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finishing processes (e.g., painting, polishing, assembly).
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control standards and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) or similar production software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with automated finishing equipment
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff
