Quality Engineer | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $69,000 - $103,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Lansing region seeking Quality Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in quality and efficiency.
• Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to drive data-driven decisions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and application of quality methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, MSA).
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSGB)
• Experience with Minitab or other statistical software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
• Programming skills (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
• Experience with ISO 9001 audits
