Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of robotic systems.
• Install, configure, and test new robotic equipment and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for manufacturing robots.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize robot performance and integrate new applications.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to production operators on robotic systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) in a manufacturing setting
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and software issues
• Experience with PLC programming and ladder logic (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and calibration on robotic systems

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems and their integration into robotic cells.
• Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP).
• PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
• Certification in a specific robotic platform (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
