Quality Technician | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $41,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Perform root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain quality control measuring equipment.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Provide training to production staff on quality standards and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
• 2+ years experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to use various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• Certification in a recognized quality methodology (e.g., Six Sigma Yellow Belt, ASQ CQT).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency in using a CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
