Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Rapids seeking Quality Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality data.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality control plans to ensure compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or manufacturing
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certifications (e.g., CMI, CQI)
• Experience with various metrology software (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS)
• Ability to interpret and apply GD&T principles beyond basic understanding
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with specialized inspection techniques (e.g., NDT, CMM programming)
