Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in root cause analysis for defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Verify calibration status of inspection equipment and ensure proper functioning.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQI)
• Experience with various metrology tools beyond basic hand tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings with advanced GD&T
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and internal auditing
