Quality Supervisor | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $71,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards.
• Supervise and train quality control inspectors and technicians.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product defects and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Manage the calibration and maintenance of quality testing equipment.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce scrap.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience, including supervising and developing a team.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and statistical process control (SPC).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 implementation or auditing
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• ASQ Certified Quality Supervisor (CQS) or equivalent certification
