Quality Manager | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $89,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Wayland region seeking Quality Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) and procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
• Manage and conduct internal and external audits, including supplier quality assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the inspection, testing, and release of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Mentor and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance and performance reviews.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and report on quality performance to management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and auditing.
• Proven ability to implement and improve quality control processes and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a quality team.
