Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in DeWitt that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Assist in the development and revision of quality inspection procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schecharts, and technical documents
• Familiarity with various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify cosmetic and functional defects

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certification (e.g., CMI, CQI)
• Experience with various metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers) beyond basic hand tools
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality trending
• Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Experience in a specific manufacturing process relevant to the role (e.g., machining, welding, additive manufacturing)
