Salary Range: $53,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathe machines.
• Create and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Optimize machining parameters for efficiency, quality, and tool life.
• Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit) for generating G-code.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, cutting parameters, and material properties for various metals.
• Expertise in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Proven experience with machine setup, offsets, and first-part prove-out on CNC lathes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software beyond basic G-code generation (e.g., advanced toolpath optimization, simulation).
• Proficiency in a second CNC programming language or machine type (e.g., Mill, Swiss Lathe, EDM).
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and methodologies (e.g., CMM, GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior programmers.
• Experience with automation or robotic integration in a manufacturing setting.
