Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for specific applications.
- Optimize toolpaths and cutting parameters to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance part quality.
- Perform post-processing of CNC programs to ensure compatibility with various machine controls.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve programming issues.
- Conduct first-article inspections and troubleshoot programs on the machine to achieve desired specifications.
- Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit) for generating toolpaths and G-code.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D models.
- In-depth knowledge of various cutting tools, materials, and machining strategies for optimal efficiency and part quality.
- Experience with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting on 3-axis and multi-axis CNC mills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis programming.
- Familiarity with robotic tending or automation cells.
- Proficiency in a second CAM software or scripting for post-processor customization.
- Demonstrated ability to train junior programmers or machinists.
- Experience with in-process metrology or probing routines.
