Salary Range: $89,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for complex quality issues.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other statistical tools for process monitoring and improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and drive supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior quality engineers and production staff.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their implementation.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Lean Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced quality planning tools and techniques (e.g., APQP, PPAP).

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process improvement.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with specific industry quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
