Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate CMM programs for complex manufactured parts.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to create inspection routines.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and data integrity.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data to identify trends and issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model interpretation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in measurement.
• Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Practical experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) principles and software.
• Familiarity with different CMM brands and software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Ability to perform basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with vision systems or other non-contact measurement technologies.
