Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM programs using various software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and 3D CAD models to create inspection programs.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and other metrology equipment.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure program accuracy and optimize inspection processes.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate measurement results.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
• Document CMM programs, inspection reports, and measurement data in accordance with company procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in PC-DMIS software for CMM programming.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Experience with various CMM hardware and probe systems.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Practical experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
• Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior programmers on CMM software and best practices.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.
• Knowledge of GD&T beyond basic interpretation, including advanced applications and measurement strategies.
