Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications.
• Creates detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Performs design calculations and simulations to validate product performance and manufacturability.
• Conducts design reviews and implements feedback to optimize designs for cost, quality, and production efficiency.
• Develops and executes test plans to verify design functionality and reliability.
• Troubleshoots and resolves design-related issues during manufacturing and product lifecycle.
• Stays current with industry trends and advancements in design and manufacturing technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with DFM/DFA principles.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for design automation or data analysis.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Expertise in specific simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) beyond basic CAD analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
