Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate and timely cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary project details.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work.
• Solicits and evaluates quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, labor, materials, and special tooling.
• Presents detailed cost breakdowns and proposals to management and clients.
• Maintains and updates a database of cost information for future reference.
• Participates in post-project reviews to compare estimated costs with actual expenditures.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in an estimating role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
