Facilities Manager | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Manage facility budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption.
• Supervise and train a team of facilities technicians and maintenance staff.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for outsourced facility services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing budgets, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), safety regulations, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Experience with CMMS software and project management tools.
• Certifications such as FMP, CFM, or PMP are highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS implementation or optimization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar space planning software.
• LEED Green Associate or similar sustainability certification.
• Familiarity with IoT solutions for building management.
