Facilities Manager | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Plainwell that are seeking Facilities Managers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Manage facility-related budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.
• Plan and execute facility improvement projects, including space planning, renovations, and equipment installations.
• Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships.
• Experience with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and infrastructure.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS implementation and optimization.
• LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for space planning and facility modifications.
• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) credential.
