Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grandville that are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
• Calibrate and test equipment to meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during field service operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve recurring equipment issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance) or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in field service, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery or automation equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including experience with PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix).
• Certification in a specialized skill (e.g., welding, hydraulics, robotics).
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
