Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wayland that are seeking skilled Finishing Supervisors. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the final inspection and packaging of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage and train a team of finishing technicians, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Schedule and prioritize finishing tasks to meet production deadlines and customer requirements.
• Monitor and maintain finishing equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control procedures within the finishing department.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve production issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, specifically in finishing processes.
• Strong knowledge of various finishing techniques (e.g., painting, powder coating, plating, polishing) and quality control standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with automated finishing equipment or robotics
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor new employees
