Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled Packaging Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing products, considering material selection, cost, and manufacturability.
• Conduct packaging performance testing and validation to ensure product integrity and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to define packaging requirements and project timelines.
• Optimize current packaging processes and materials to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and decrease overall costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues during production, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain accurate packaging specifications, bills of material, and other technical documentation.
• Stay informed of new packaging technologies, materials, and regulations to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Familiarity with sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Knowledge of ISTA or ASTM packaging testing standards.
• Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
