Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging meets product, marketing, and operational requirements.
• Conducts testing and analysis of packaging materials and designs to ensure performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Optimizes packaging processes and materials to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance sustainability.
• Troubleshoots and resolves packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Develops and maintains packaging specifications, standards, and documentation.
• Stays current with industry trends and advancements in packaging technologies and materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, glass, metals) and their properties.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis.
• Experience with packaging test methods and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on packaging design and performance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Project management experience
