Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Logistics Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, from raw material procurement to finished goods delivery.
• Optimize inventory levels and warehouse layouts to enhance efficiency and reduce carrying costs.
• Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to secure favorable terms.
• Implement and manage transportation strategies, including route optimization and carrier selection.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, import/export compliance, and customs procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve on-time delivery.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is a plus.
