Incoming Inspection Technician | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Caledonia that are seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials and components against specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain detailed records.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material discrepancies and quality issues.
• Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
• Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and work instructions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing inspection data and documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
• Familiarity with PPAP submissions and AS9100/ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• IPC-A-610 certification.
