Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and disposition recommendations.
- Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for rejected materials, ensuring proper containment and communication to relevant departments.
- Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators, to verify product compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and supplier quality teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve supplier quality performance.
- Maintain inspection equipment by performing routine calibration checks and escalating issues for repair or replacement.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1-3 years experience in quality control, incoming inspection, or a related manufacturing role.
- Proficient in using various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming materials.
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
