Inventory Control Manager | Portage, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Portage that are seeking Inventory Control Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
• Manage and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing to optimize material flow and storage.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) for tracking and reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of inventory control specialists and clerks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including forecasting, demand planning, and optimization techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and improve inventory control processes, leading to cost reductions and efficiency gains.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficient in SQL or other data querying languages
• Familiarity with ERP system implementation or upgrades
