Salary Range: $44,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately and completely, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance details.
  • Initiate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials, ensuring proper containment and communication.
  • Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators, to verify product compliance.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve supplier quality.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing inspection duties.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conforming materials.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with a CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and other quality management systems.
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Proficiency in using an ERP system for quality records and inventory management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply GD&T principles.
