Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Manage a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
- Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing.
- Analyze material usage and forecast future demand to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control processes for incoming materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes and systems.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in materials management or procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of optimizing inventory levels and reducing carrying costs
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in materials planning
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of materials professionals
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for materials planning and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of materials professionals.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics and international logistics.
