Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Utilize various precision measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Isolate and tag non-conforming materials, initiating the material review board (MRB) process for disposition.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Experience using various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, go/no-go gauges)
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results and identify non-conformances

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for quality module transactions.
