Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking NPI Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and testability of new products.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including assembly, test, and inspection.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and process flowcharts.
• Participate in design reviews to provide DFM/DFA feedback and identify potential manufacturing issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related production issues.
• Select and qualify new equipment and tooling required for new product introduction.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and DFT (Design for Testability).
• Experience with test fixture development and validation.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Expertise in various NPI methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, Stage-Gate).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter).
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and their application in NPI.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CSM).
