HR Generalist | Kalamazoo, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manages full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Administers benefits programs and assists employees with related inquiries.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
• Supports recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
• Maintains accurate HR records and employee data in the HRIS.
• Addresses employee relations issues and provides guidance on workplace policies and procedures.
• Conducts HR-related training sessions for employees and management.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.
