Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to verify conformance.
  • Document inspection results accurately and completely, maintaining detailed quality records.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams and quality engineers to resolve issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector)
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation
  • NDT certifications (e.g., VT, PT, MT Level I or II)
  • Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
