Salary Range: $43,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Set up and operate various welding machines and equipment.
• Inspect and test welds for defects, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper functioning and calibration.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues and process inefficiencies.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document welding procedures, results, and any non-conformities.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding is a plus.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding.
• Experience with quality control and inspection procedures for welded components.

• - Certified welding inspector (CWI) designation
• - Experience with robotic welding systems
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and weld symbols
