Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.
• Manage and reconcile timekeeping systems, ensuring proper approval and adherence to company policies and labor laws.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Administer and process all payroll deductions, including benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.
• Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for financial reporting.
• Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management, HR, and finance departments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping in a professional and timely manner.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience, with a focus on hourly, non-exempt employees in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience with automated timekeeping systems and processing complex payroll calculations, including overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.
• Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of federal and state payroll laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and multi-state wage and hour regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with time & attendance systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g., UKG/Kronos, ADP Workforce Now Time).
• Familiarity with payroll regulations specific to manufacturing, such as shift differentials, piece-rate pay, or union contracts.
• Proficiency in creating custom payroll reports and analyzing labor cost data.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll for a distributed workforce.
