Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust manufacturing presses, including dies, fixtures, and material feeds, according to production specifications.
  • Operate press machinery to produce parts, monitoring machine performance and product quality throughout the run.
  • Perform routine quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to blueprints and tolerances.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues on press equipment.
  • Load and unload raw materials, components, and finished goods from press machines.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine job requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating and setting up various types of presses (e.g., hydraulic, mechanical, stamping).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine setup specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) for quality control.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment and performing minor adjustments.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with preventative maintenance or minor machine repair
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for production tracking
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
