Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees.
  • Verify and input timekeeping data, including complex overtime calculations and shift differentials.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and company policies.
  • Administer and reconcile payroll deductions for benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries regarding wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports for accounting, management, and tax filings.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and changes to employee records within the payroll system.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex) and integrated timekeeping systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including FLSA and tax compliance.
  • Experience with complex hourly, shift, and overtime calculations common in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and confidentiality in payroll processing and data management.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll for a manufacturing workforce, including understanding of shift differentials, production bonuses, or piece-rate pay.
  • Proficiency with timekeeping systems commonly used in manufacturing environments (e.g., Kronos, ADP Workforce Now Time).
  • Familiarity with union payroll processing or multi-state manufacturing operations.
  • Basic understanding of labor cost allocation or cost accounting principles.
