Salary Range: $48,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operations, adjusting parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Select, prepare, and install appropriate electrodes for specific machining tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or process deviations.
• Maintain EDM machines and keep the work area clean and organized.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for program adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of EDM principles, electrode materials, and workpiece materials.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program interpretation or minor adjustments
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Strong mechanical aptitude for minor machine adjustments or preventative maintenance
• Prior experience in tool and die making or mold making
• Familiarity with other precision machining processes (e.g., CNC milling, grinding)
