Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Monitor machining processes, making adjustments to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Select, prepare, and maintain electrodes for various machining operations.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with EDM machinery.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) for quality inspection.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machine malfunctions and process deviations.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for part analysis or basic programming.
• Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or advanced metrology equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodologies.
